ONYX at World Smart City Expo 2026: Business Meetings on Smart City and AI Solutions in Busan

Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, WSCE is regarded as Asia’s largest smart city event. Co-hosted by Korea’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the Ministry of Science and ICT, and Busan Metropolitan City, the expo was held at BEXCO under the theme "Beyond Smart City, Into AI City". A total of 277 companies and organizations presented solutions across artificial intelligence, transport and mobility, public safety, disaster prevention, energy and healthcare.

The concurrent K-ICT WEEK in BUSAN 2026 combined AI KOREA, CLOUD EXPO KOREA and IT EXPO BUSAN on a single platform, bringing together the latest offerings of Korean vendors in cloud infrastructure, enterprise server and network equipment, AI video analytics and cybersecurity.

Under the Global Buyer Business Meeting programme, around 40 international buyers from 15 countries held one-on-one meetings with Korean companies. ONYX participated as the company representing Azerbaijan.

Among the meetings, Anar Shahbazov met with Osoo Zeh, CEO of SB Security Ltd, a Busan-based company specializing in road safety and intelligent transport systems. The company’s solar-powered LED road marking systems (Solar Eyes) and its AI-based smart pedestrian crossing solution integrated with traffic signals (AI-EYES-CW) were discussed in terms of cooperation opportunities for the Azerbaijani market.

In addition, the visit covered high-availability (HA) server solutions, enterprise networking equipment and cloud infrastructure presented by Korean manufacturers.

ONYX plans to expand its ties with leading South Korean technology companies in order to bring next-generation solutions in smart city, public safety and enterprise IT infrastructure to its customers.
