A virtual IT department — a ready IT team for your company

Helpdesk, scheduled engineer days at your office, monitoring and equipment procurement under one contract. No job ads, no interviews, no scramble for cover: the team works from day one.

Compared with one in-house IT hire

In-house junior sysadmin850–1,100 AZN/mo

Fully loaded: salary, 22% DSMF, paid leave, hardware and training. One person, office hours, and nobody covering sick days.

ONYX virtual IT departmentfrom 180 AZN/mo

A whole team: helpdesk queue, network and server engineers, security. A written SLA — leave and sick days stop being your problem.

Figures reflect the Baku market and ONYX’s own signed contracts. Your exact price depends on the size of your team.

What one contract covers

Not a list of separate services — every function a working IT department performs.

Helpdesk on an SLA

Your staff raise issues by phone, email or the helpdesk system. Response times are written into the contract — minutes for a critical outage, hours for routine requests.

Remote administration

We connect to workstations, servers and network gear remotely: password resets, software installs, fault finding. Most tickets close without anyone driving over.

Scheduled on-site engineer days

On agreed days an engineer is in your office: new-hire setup, cabling, printers, the server room. You pick the model — Remote, Hybrid or Dedicated.

24/7 monitoring

Servers, internet links, backups and disk space are watched automatically. Most of the time we see the failure and close it before you notice.

Equipment & licence procurement

Cisco, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Fortinet, Mikrotik, Microsoft — selection, quote, purchase, installation and asset records. No separate supplier to chase.

Backup, Microsoft 365 and security

Backup (from +50 AZN), Microsoft 365 administration (+50–120 AZN), cybersecurity monitoring (from +200 AZN) and Onyx Firewall management bolt on as modules.

How much on-site time do you need?

Remote support is the base; on-site days stack on top of it. The add-on is priced per scheduled day.

Remote

On-site days
No scheduled days, call-outs on demand
Monthly add-on
No add-on

Fully remote support. Suits small offices and cloud-first teams. An engineer still comes out for a serious outage.

Hybrid

On-site days
2 scheduled days a week
Monthly add-on
+560–720 AZN

The most popular model. An engineer is on site twice a week and connected remotely the rest of the time. Built for companies of 15–40 people.

Dedicated

On-site days
5 days a week, full time
Monthly add-on
+1,400–1,800 AZN

An engineer assigned to your office — like a permanent hire, but with the ONYX team, a stand-in and specialists behind them.

How it is calculated: 280–360 AZN per month for each scheduled on-site day, on top of the device-based monthly fee.

How we start

From the first conversation to full handover is typically 10 working days.

  1. 11–2 days

    Free assessment and audit

We come to your office and document workstations, servers, the network, licences and the state of your backups. You get a written list of what works and what is a risk.

  2. 22–3 days

    Proposal and SLA contract

Based on the audit we fix the monthly fee, the scope of service and the response times in a written contract. No hidden line items.

  3. 33–5 days

    Handover and setup

Passwords and access are transferred securely, monitoring is deployed, the asset register is built and your staff are onboarded onto the helpdesk.

  4. 4ongoing

    Steady state and monthly report

The helpdesk goes live and scheduled on-site days begin. Every month you get what happened, what was fixed, and what we recommend next.

Every request lands in ONYX Helpdesk

Access to ONYX’s own helpdesk system is part of the contract: your staff raise tickets, and you can see which issue was solved when, whether the SLA was met, and which piece of equipment sits with whom.

Frequently asked questions

How fast do you respond?

Response times depend on the plan and are written into the contract: Essential — up to 4 hours during business hours; Managed — up to 2 hours with out-of-hours escalation; Managed+ — 24/7 with critical incidents answered within an hour. If a server or the internet link is down completely, the ticket is automatically raised to the highest priority.

Does an engineer come to the office, or is everything remote?

Both. Most tickets are solved remotely, but every plan includes on-site time: Essential has at least one scheduled day a month, the Hybrid model two days a week, and under the Dedicated model an engineer effectively works from your office. For a serious outage we come out regardless of the model.

We already have a sysadmin — do we have to let them go?

No. Several of our clients keep their in-house admin and use us as second line behind them: servers, network, security, holiday and sick cover, out-of-hours incidents. In that case we usually start with Essential or the Remote model — your admin handles day-to-day requests and we take the complex work.

How long is the contract and how hard is it to leave?

The standard contract runs 12 months, billed monthly, and can be ended with one month of written notice. An annual commitment is one of the things we will discount against. When the contract ends you receive every password, document, network diagram and asset record — nothing stays locked up with us.

How is our company data kept confidential?

The contract includes an NDA clause. Engineers get named individual accounts rather than shared passwords, actions are logged, and all access is revoked the day the contract ends. We do not move your data onto our own servers — backup systems are set up in your name.
